It’s summer in the Magic City, and we all know what that means: not much is going on. Oh sure, the Marlins hosted baseball’s All Star Game this month (yawn), South Miami just became the first city to mandate solar panels on all new homes (sexy!), and with much fanfare, All Aboard Florida launched the Brightline … (oops! Sorry, delayed until fall). So in lieu of the usual action, how are we to dazzle you with this month’s edition? Where do we turn for that fascinating Miami real estate data that makes your pulse pound and your head spin? Celebrities! Bright and shiny and always moving to and from our dynamic region. So join us as we reach for the stars in this month’s edition of South Florida by the numbers.

$150 million: Asking price for Julio Iglesias’s eight-acre assemblage of waterfront land on Indian Creek Island; an exclusive Miami atoll with about 40 properties and home to some of the wealthiest people in the U.S. The singer/songwriter is looking to sell each of the four lots on the assemblage for $18.75 million per acre, or $470 per square foot. $1.3 million: Asking price for O.J. Simpson’s former Kendall home, located at 9450 Southeast 112th Street. The recently parole-granted Simpson lost the home to foreclosure in 2014, while serving his sentence for robbery and kidnapping. [GossipExtra]

6.8 acres: Total size of the Islamorada property at 88835 Old Highway, where singer/actress Jennifer Lopez filmed her most recent music video. The property (which includes five homes) is on the market for $6.5 million, which is down from the $10 million asking price in 2007. The property owners were paid $2,500 a day to host the shooting of the music video, which features a cameo from J. Lo’s ex-husband, Marc Anthony. [TheRealDeal]

648: Number of units at Aria on the Bay, a Miami luxury condominium where Marlins All Star outfielder Giancarlo Stanton recently purchased a three-story penthouse. (Price undisclosed.) The five-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom unit features a rooftop terrace with private pool and an outdoor summer kitchen. [MiamiHerald]

$1.6 million: Loss absorbed by Lil Wayne on the recent sale of his Miami Beach mansion for $10 million. The rapper purchased the 15,101-square-foot home at 94 La Gorce Drive Circle for $11.6 million in 2011. With eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms, the three-story home was built in 2004 on a 20,857-square-foot lot along the water. [SFBJ]
