MICROS Systems Inc. (MCRS) Jumped After Oracle Agreed To Acquire Company

Oracle Corp. (ORCL) announced Monday morning that it agreed to acquire MICROS Systems Inc. (MCRS) for $68.00 per share, approximately $5.3 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2014.

MICROS Systems gapped open higher Monday, but moved in a narrow range throughout the session. The stock closed up by 2.21 at $67.98 on the highest volume of the year. MICROS Systems closed challenging the highs of the year.
