Instead of joining critics of the Aiza Seguerra-Liza Dino wedding in the US last December 8, Vic Sotto is throwing his support for the couple.

"Personally, kung saan masaya ang aking mga kaibigan, yung mga anak ko, doon ako," Vic said at the press conference of Metro Manila Film Festival entry "My Big Bossing."

Vic treats Aiza as family because they have been close since the latter was still a kid. They have worked together in many movies and TV shows, including "Eat Bulaga" and "Okay Ka Fairy Ko."

Volunteer ninong

While the seasoned TV host-actor supports the marriage, he respects people's opinions about the union.

"Siguro hindi naiintindihan ng ibang tao, pero opinion nila iyon. I respect their opinion and I also expect them to respect my opinion."

Vic has witnessed how much Aiza and Liza love each other, so he is happy for them. He added that he’s willing to be a ninong to the couple’s wedding in the Philippines.

"I can see how they love each other, kung gaano sila kasaya and how they take care of each other. Noong nabalita sa akin na magpapakasal sila and they will formalize the relationship, sabi ko, 'Go,'" he said.

Let people decide

He added that "My Big Bossing," which features three stories, is his biggest movie to date.

"Akala namin pareho lang budget nito kasi 1/3 lang yung gagawin, but hindi naman 1/3 yung talent fees ng mga artista, ng mga direktor, the staff. So parang tatlong pelikula din ang ginawa namin."

While some of his competitors set box office targets for their movies, Vic prefers to let people decide on his movie’s gross earnings.

"Hindi tayo mahilig sa mga claim-claim, sa mga target. Basta ako, tiwala ako sa produkto namin na it’s a good movie."

"My Big Bossing" also stars Ryzza Mae Dizon, Marian Rivera, Nikki Gil, Pauleen Luna, Alfonso Muhlach, Ruby Rodriguez and Maricar De Mesa.

The movie opens on December 25 in theaters nationwide.
