ALBANY, NY--(Marketwired - Jul 15, 2015) - CommerceHub, the leading provider of virtual inventory, marketing and delivery solutions for retailers and brands, today announced that it has been working closely with Google to provide a streamlined platform to integrate with the new 'Purchases on Google' capability for Product Listing Ads.

Google recently announced the new feature that enables mobile consumers to buy products directly on Google Shopping through a clickable feature on merchant-branded product pages. CommerceHub fully supports this new capability, enabling a frictionless mobile shopping experience for customers of participating retailers and brands.

Google confirmed more than 50% of searches occur on mobile devices, but mobile shopping converts at one-third the rate of desktop and tablet. As smartphones become the prevailing consumer-shopping device, this mobile conversion gap creates a major issue for retail advertisers seeking to grow their sales. The 'Purchases on Google' functionality with integration from CommerceHub converts more mobile shoppers into buyers, resulting in better return on ad spend (ROAS).

While the mobile feature is expected to greatly improve conversion rates through an improved customer experience, integrating orders from Google with a retailer's back-end system presents a host of new challenges. With CommerceHub's integration platform, retailers can accept orders from an outside party and fulfill them without significant and costly IT projects.

"There is a complex challenge presented by mobile transactions like this, namely that retailers will now have to receive and process completed orders from outside of their systems, requiring an integration similar to the transactions CommerceHub enables between retailers and suppliers," said Frank Poore, founder and CEO of CommerceHub. "We are excited to be powering 'Purchases on Google,' enabling top retailers and brands."

CommerceHub's Demand platform supports high-performing marketplaces, social commerce sites and product advertising channels that include Google Shopping. By supporting the 'Purchases on Google' feature for Google Product Listing Ads, CommerceHub retailers and brands can efficiently syndicate their enterprise product catalog, provide compliant product data to enable high-relevancy product search and discovery, and drive increased sales conversions.

Brands and Retailers interested exploring 'Purchases on Google' should contact their CommerceHub client executive or email hello@commercehub.com.
