Purple Heart Tour Planned In Pleasanton, Livermore Friday

Five recipients will be honored during this year's procession.

PLEASANTON, CA — The Purple Heart Outdoor Tour will roll through Pleasanton Friday. The tour, which pays homage to Special Forces Operators, will honor five local military members, according to the Pleasanton Military Families.

The public is invited and encouraged to watch the motorcade-style procession, which will begin at Mexico Lindo in Pleasanton at 6 p.m. and will make its way through Livermore on Stanley Boulevard.

This is the seventh year the procession has come through the two Tri-Valley cities. The event may cause minor traffic delays.
