Methodist Preschool Of La Grange Names Interim Director

The childhood education board of the First United Methodist Church has chosen Jacquelin Buckler as interim director.

LA GRANGE, IL — The Methodist Preschool of La Grange has chosen an interim director. The childhood education board of the First United Methodist Church has chosen Jacquelin Buckler as interim director. According to a release, Buckler was introduced to the congregation on Aug. 13 and will replace Sue Skahill who is moving to Peoria after having served as director for 16 years.

Buckler earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication and Master of Education from the University of Illinois, Chicago. According to a release, Buckler began her career in education as an English
Language Learner teacher in Burbank School District 111. In 2005, she joined the staff of Methodist Preschool and has since taught more than 200 children in the community.

“I am excited to take on this new role at Methodist. Methodist Preschool has been an established
leader in early childhood education in the La Grange area for over 50 years," Buckler said in a release. "I am happy to carry out the strong mission of the school and continue the tradition of providing excellent early
childhood experiences to the community. I am committed to the children, parents and guardians,
and the wonderful teaching and support staff here.”
