Children in Scales Mound, Illinois reported being approached by a man driving a red semi tractor pulling a white trailer.
The semi was eastbound on Charles Mound Road at Franklin Street when it approached a group of children who were riding their bikes late Thursday afternoon, June 4, 2015,
"When the semi approached the children, the driver slowed the vehicle, opened the passenger door, and verbally engaged the children to approach his semi," said a statement from the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office.
The driver was described as a white man with short brown hair, skinny arms and a pot belly. He wore glasses, a brown hat with a circle on it, a gray short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.
