Carnie Wilson has been sharing news of a new health issue she's facing.

"Just wanted you all 2 know that I have Bell's Palsy on lf side of face right now," she told her Twitter followers several days ago. "Scary, unfortunate, but it goes away. A challenge! Love u."

Bell's Palsy is a condition that causes sudden weakness of the facial muscles, according to the Mayo Clinic. The exact cause is unknown, but it's believed to be the result of swelling and inflammation of the nerve that controls the muscles on one side of the face.

Wilson, 44, who had a second weight-loss surgery last year, later thanked fans for their well-wishes and said she was trying acupuncture for relief. "It's WORKING," she tweeted.

On Sunday, she wrote: "Getting better every day."
