The Grammy Museum is about to give Rodney Dangerfield a whole lot of respect with a new exhibit devoted to the comedian’s life and career.
Among those celebrating the legendary comic at the Nov. 2 opening of The Comedic Genius of Rodney Dangerfield are Adam Sandler, Jay Leno and Don Rickles, all of whom have recorded tributes to the stand-up.
The event, which begins at 7 p.m., will be hosted by singer Michael Bolton.
Offering an in-depth look at the iconic career of the Grammy-winning funnyman, the exhibit includes Rodney’s first headshot, his signature red tie, the robe he wore in Easy Money and several other artifacts. Widow Joan Dangerfield helped to curate.
Panelists scheduled to appear live are Brad Garrett and Louie Anderson.
Located in the L.A. Live complex, the Grammy Museum is devoting the month of November to comedy, with its centerpiece, the Dangerfield exhibit, running through Feb. 2015.
