West Lafayette Alumni banquet set

WEST LAFAYETTE - The West Lafayette/Ridgewood Alumni Association will hold its annual banquet on June 2 in the cafeteria of Ridgewood High School. Registration and social hour will be at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Dinner will be served by the Fresno United Methodist Church and include Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. Three $1,000 scholarships will be given to current students.

Officers for the year are President Cathy Frederick McCrea, First Vice President Nancy Hill Porteus, Second Vice President Carolyn Gress McElfresh, Secretary Susan Shaw Gordon and Treasurer Sandy Shaw.

Milestone classes being honored are from 1948, 1958, 1968 and 1978. All alumni veterans will be honored.

Forms for those who did not receive them are available at ridgewood.k12.oh.us or wlridgegenerals.wixsite.com. Cost is $15.

Coshocton Clean-Up Day is April 21

COSHOCTON - The Big Coshocton Clean-Up will be from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 21 starting at the Coshocton Court Square.

The first 50 participants will receive a T-shirt. Doughnuts, water and garbage bags will be provided. The Boy Scouts will be accepting old appliances. Furniture can be dumped in a container at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds provided by Kimble’s.

Warsaw Lions Club Pancake Day 7 a.m.-noon, Walhonding Valley Fire Department, 100 Bridge St., Warsaw. $5 for adults, $3 for ages 7 and under. Bake sale by the Warsaw United Methodist Church.

Spring Breakfast 7:30-10:30 a.m., Killbuck VFW, 185 W. Front St., Killbuck. Cost is a donation. Baskets with items donated from each classroom will be up for auction. Proceeds benefit Clark Elementary School.

Everything’s Coming Up Roses Workshop 10 a.m.-noon, Clary Gardens, 588 West Chestnut St., Coshocton. Master Gardener Volunteers will give hands-on training in pruning, fertilizing and deadheading. There will be discussion about proper use of fungicide and miticide application.

Spring Carnival 11 a.m.-3 p.m., West Lafayette First Baptist Church, 688 East Main St., West Lafayette.

Combined Choir Anthem Presentation 10:30 a.m., Coshocton Presbyterian Church, 142 North 4th St., Coshocton. Combined choirs of Grace United Methodist Church and Coshocton Presbyterian Church

“Beauty and the Beast” 2:30 p.m., Ridgewood High School, 602 Johnson St., West Lafayette. $10.

Musik Fest XIII 3 p.m., Roscoe United Methodist Church, Coshocton. The more than 70 voice choir will be accompanied by a 15-piece instrumental ensemble along with piano and organ.

Family Paint Night 4-6 p.m., Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum, 300 North Whitewoman St., Coshocton. Cost is $16 for one adult and one children and $20 for one adult and two children. Friends of the Museum family members can receive $3 off.

Monday

A Literary Feast 6-8 p.m., Coshocton Public Library, 655 Main St., Coshocton. Prepare a dish to share inspired by a book.

Master Gardener Volunteer Training Program 6-9 p.m., Coshocton County Services Building, 724 South 7th St., Coshocton. Volunteers will be trained in annuals, perennials, fruits, vegetables, soil, botany, turf, insects, diseases and other topics.

Tuesday

Family Night at the Library 6:45-7:15 p.m., Coshocton Public Library, 655 Main St., Coshocton. Children ages 3 to 6 will hear stories, sing songs and do arts and crafts. Ages 6 to 12 will engage with science, technology, engineering, arts and math activities.

Coshocton Community Band Rehearsals 7-8:30 p.m., Coshocton High School, 1205 Cambridge Road, Coshocton.

Coshocton Genealogical Society Meeting 7:30-9:30 p.m., Coshocton Public Library, 655 Main St., Coshocton. Chuck Bell of New Concord will portray Simeon Kenton and speak about the Revolutionary War west of the Allegheny Mountains.
