By now everyone knows that “Beauty and the Beast” will not be renewed for a fifth season. With season 4 servings as the last for the series, the plight of the main characters will be interesting to follow.
Word of “Beauty and the Beast” not being renewed by CW came out as early as October last year via TV Line. It will be the final season for the show headlined by Kristine Kreuk and Jay Ryan with the unstable ratings seen as the cause for its wrap.
The fourth season of “Beauty and the Beast” will contain only 13 episodes before officially closing per Variety. With that in mind, it will be interesting what lies ahead for “Vincent” and “Catherine”. Will it be a fairy tale or happy ending?
With “Beauty and the Beast” reaching mid-season, the current state of the married couple may be hinting at a possible crisis. Reports have it that “Vincent” and “Catherine” may be headed for a split in what could be a betrayal of sorts, depending on how one looks at it.
Beastly matters
“Vince” finds himself in an unusual spot and most of it is tied with the hunt for beasts. He is of course one of the targets as seen in previous seasons with “Cat” technically the one standing up and protecting him.
Now torn, the blissful union seems to be taking a different turn. The pressure seems to be taking its toll on “Vince” and now he is pushing “Cat” away.
In a scene which may not necessarily be new anymore, “Cat” meets “Vince but with hunters around. Based on her facial expression, it will be interesting to find out if “Cat” set it all up or was tracked.
“Vince” will be able to escape the ambush, with betrayal obviously in mind. It remains to see if this is the start of things to come as the show nears its close or simply another plot inserted before the show wraps up its final season.
