Gates Public Library programs

Gates Public Library, 902 Elmgrove Road, will host the following upcoming events.

3D Paper Pumpkins: 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 15. Registration required.

Grades K-2 Stories and Crafts: 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Oct. 15. For ages 4-8 years old featuring stories, games, activities and a craft. Registration required.

Story Time Yoga: 10 to 10:30 a.m. Oct.16. For ages 1-5.

SAT Practice Test: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct 17. Students in grades 9-12 will take a practice SAT test under simulated conditions, and will need to bring pencils, snacks and a calculator. Registration required.

Cooking with Apples: 3 to 4:30 p.m. Oct 17. Registration required.

Baby Story Time: 9:30 to 10 a.m. Oct 19. Infant to 2 years old with adult. Program will include stories, songs, fingerplays and playtime.

Story Time with Mary Jo: 10:15 to 11 a.m. Oct 19. Ages 2-5 with adult. Program will include stories, songs, circle games, snack, fingerplays and toys.

Creative Writing Group: 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 19. A self-directed program for writers of all levels.

Story Time with Hannah: 10:15 to 11 a.m. Oct 20. Ages 2-5 with adult. Program will include stories, songs, circle games, snack, fingerplays and toys.

Tween Craft: Polka-dot Bat: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Ages 8-13.

Library Board Meeting: 6 p.m. Oct. 21.

Sing, Sign and Play: 10 to 10:30 a.m. Oct 23. Infant through 24 months with adult. Program presented by Linda Schmackpfeffer to teach sign language. Registration required.

Baby Story Time: 9:30 to 10 a.m. Oct. 26. Infants to 2 years old with adult. Program will include stories, songs, fingerplays and playtime.

Halloween Goddesses: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26. Program will look at Halloween from a female perspective. Registration required.

Story Time with Hannah: 10:15 to 11 a.m. Oct. 27. Ages 2-5 with adult. Program will include stories, songs, circle games, snack, fingerplays and toys.

Tween Craft: Pom-Pom Ghost: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27. Ages 8-13.

Time for Tots: 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. Oct. 28. Ages 1-5 with adult. Program will consist of 40 minutes of free play with toys followed by a 20 minute story time.

Halloween Cupcakes: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28. Ages 9-18. Participants will decorate Halloween cupcakes. Registration required.
