Chamber holding Irish Sweepstakes
If you think you have the luck of the Irish, you may want to head over to the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber is selling 400 tickets at $100 each, first come, first served, for its annual Irish Sweepstakes at its offices 33 Commercial St. in Gloucester.
Each ticket admits the ticket holder and one guest to St. Patrick’s Day festivities Wednesday, March 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Gloucester House, 63 Rogers S. in Gloucester
And one ticket holder will walk away the lucky winner of $10,000. The event will also feature a 50/50 raffle, a traditional Irish dinner and a cash bar.
Besides the grand prize, $2,500 will go to a ticket holder. Five lucky winners will receive $1,000 each, and another five will win $500 each.

State Sen. Joan Lovely of Salem has been named Senator of the Year by the Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers. Lovely is the Senate chair of the Ellen Story Commission on Postpartum Depression, and is a member of the Special Senate Committee on Opioid Addiction Prevention, Treatment and Recovery Options.
Attorney Allison Williard has joined the firm of Lyons & Tzanoudakis as an associate in its Danvers office. She will concentrate her practice in business law, including succession planning, real estate, and drafting contracts, leases and other business-related documents. Willard received her JD, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School.

North Shore Bank has donated $18,550 to Harborlight Community Partners, a Beverly-based nonprofit that provides affordable housing on Cape Ann, the North Shore and throughout southern Essex County. The donation was made through the Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) program, which is designed to allow local businesses to work with community development corporations to improve economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income households.
