Saturday

STS9

Detroit is night three on a lengthy fall tour for the band born Sound Tribe Sector 9, whose mind-expanding live sets and jam-electronica blend has put them on the vanguard of that musical movement. The group is touring in the wake of the self-released "The Universe Inside," STS9's first album since the departure of founding bassist David Murphy two years ago. 7 p.m., the Fillmore Detroit, 2115 Woodward, Detroit. 313-961-5450. $34.50-$42.50.

Monday

Green Day

Making up for a September show that was postponed because of illness, the Bay Area trio winds down its special club tour in support of the strong, confident new album "Revolution Radio." This date at the 2,900-capacity Fillmore is the first metro Detroit show in six years for Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt — and the most intimate one they've played here in two decades. (Tickets sold out quickly, but you can still snag seats for Green Day's return visit at Joe Louis Arena on March 27.) 6:30 p.m., the Fillmore Detroit, 2115 Woodward, Detroit. 313-961-5450. $60-$99.50.

Tuesday

Teenage Fanclub

It's been more than a decade since we got a visit from Teenage Fanclub, the Scottish quintet whose jangly power-pop put a fresh spin on that retro-minded genre during the 1990s. Ever the cult favorite, the band is back with its first album since 2010, the September release "Here," and hits Ferndale with opener Sam Evian as it wraps up this brief U.S. tour. 8 p.m., the Loving Touch, 22634 Woodward, Ferndale. 248-546-3696. $20-$22.

Wednesday

Tegan and Sara

With "Love You to Death," released this summer, Canada's best-known twin sisters maintain the vivacious pop sound they turned to on 2013's "Hearthrob," without sacrificing the introspective, heart-on-the-sleeve songwriting that earned them a deeply devoted fan base in the first place. Nashville indie singer-songwriter Torres will open the show. 7 p.m., Royal Oak Music Theatre, 318 W. Fourth, Royal Oak. 248-399-2980. $36.

Yelawolf

With his third Shady Records album, "Trial By Fire," still waiting in the wings, the Alabama backwoods-rap specialist is on the road sporting a new EP, "Hotel," and a supporting bill that includes Bubba Sparxxx and Struggle Jennings, artists on Yelawolf's own Slumerican label. 6:30 p.m., the Fillmore Detroit, 2115 Woodward, Detroit. 313-961-5450. $8.90-$45.
