The Black Bottom Area is located on Detroit's east side and has been a part of Detroit's history since the 1920's.
French settlers named it Black Bottom because of it fertile, dark and rich soil. In 1997 Black Bottom Records evolved out of a Housing Project in the Black Bottom called McDonald Square. Black Bottom Records was established in 1997 and re-established in 2007. Techno from da bottom of the mitten.
