Blake Lively Wears Sequined Dress and Matching Thigh-High Boots at Chanel Métiers d'Art Show

So. Much. Sparkle.

It goes without saying that Blake Lively is a style icon; the actor always slays red carpet events and casual streetwear alike. But Blake inspires her fans to do more than just recreate her outfits; she continues to prove — time and again — that it’s cool to make your own fashion rules and wear whatever you want.

Her latest outfit is no exception. While attending the the Chanel Métiers d'Art show on December 4 in New York City, Blake was photographed wearing a tight silver sequined dress underneath a cropped white blazer with a thick buckle around the waist. She paired the sparkly dress with equally shimmering white thigh-high boots, in the same sequined pattern as the rest of her outfit. The footwear included a high heel, and Blake finished off the look with simple jewelry and tousled hair, looking perfectly festive for the holiday season.

This isn’t the first time that Blake has paired two similar styles together for one powerful ensemble; back in August, the 31-year-old chose to rock two velvet blazers, layered on top of one another for a uniquely chic vibe. And then there was the time she selected a jacket, trousers, and sweater all in a highlighter-green shade, which was topped off with bright pink lipstick and turquoise statement earrings.

Blake, who has said she doesn’t have a stylist, has also been pretty outspoken about the double standards that exist within the fashion sphere, as there was a lot of commentary about the plethora of suits she wore while promoting her 2018 film A Simple Favor. “Just lookin’ to encourage women to do what men do without being teased for it. 😊👍,” Blake wrote in an Instagram comment back in September. “Yes, even in a space as material as fashion. It all starts somewhere...♥️♥️ and everyone’s voice counts.”
