PGPD arrested two men in connection with a homicide that happened Saturday afternoon at a park in Adelphi.

Police say 19-year-old Hernan Sanchez-Vasquez of Silver Spring, and 17-year-old Herminio Gonzalez-Sanchez of Hyattsville, are charged in the death of 20-year-old Henry Lopez-Hernandez of Cincinnati, OH.

Police believe the suspects and victim were friends and had a disagreement before the homicide.

Maryland-National Capital Park Police responded to a park in the 8000 block of Riggs Road on September 17 at around 1:30 p.m., and found Henry Lopez-Hernandez suffering from upper body trauma.

Lopez-Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both Sanchez-Vasquez and Gonzalez-Sanchez are being charged as adults with first and second degree murder. Police say they admitted their involvement in the homicide.

They are being held without bond.
