Coleen Rooney says she had ‘no doubt’ family would join Wayne in the U.S. as she reveals the hardest thing about their big move
Premier League legend Wayne has already said the American capital was the perfect place to bring up his brood
COLEEN Rooney has said she had "no doubt" she would join husband Wayne in Washington with their kids after his big move.
The mum-of-four has spoken for the first time following his transfer from Everton to DC United.
And she said there was never any doubt they would make the move as a family.
Speaking with The Daily Mirror she said: "I don’t think it will affect us as a family – as long as you are all together, we can take on anything.
"When [Wayne] signed, there was no doubt in my mind that we wouldn’t go. We are a family."
Coleen and her boys – Kai, eight, Klay, five, Kit, two, and six-month-old Cass - have now joined Wayne in the US capital.
But Coleen, 32, admits she will miss their extended family as they settle into their new life in America.
She said: "It’s hard not being able to pop down the road – an eight- hour flight is a long distance. You can’t just nip over for a cup of tea.
"I will miss my family. They help us so much with the kids. But they will come and visit."
England legend Wayne, 32, confirmed wife Coleen and their four boys would move to Washington with him back in July.
The family were pictured on a sightseeing trip around the city earlier this week.
The footballer shared an Instagram montage of him showing her and their son Kai around their new home city.

Coleen told her 1.27 million Twitter followers: "Wishing our Daddy and my Wayne all the luck, happiness and success in America!!! It’s a move we are going to do as a family."
Coleen - who had not been to Washington before their move - is now in the process of finding schools for their boys and a place they can call home.
