Bitting, Tynan Selected for NFHCA Senior Game

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke's Morgan Bitting and Rose Tynan have been selected to take part in the 2018 Victory Sports/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Senior Game Friday, Nov. 16 in Louisville, Ky. The contest will be held at Louisville's Trager Stadium in conjunction with the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship.

The Blue Devils' field captain, Bitting has been a mainstay in the Duke midfield over the past four seasons. She owns two goals and 11 assists in 77 career contests, with three of those 11 assists coming this fall. The Hummelstown, Pa., native has guided the Blue Devils to a 12-3 record so far in her senior campaign, including a 4-1 mark in ACC play, and a 10-3 ledger against ranked opponents.

Tynan has developed into one of the nation's top scorers and leads the Blue Devils with 12 goals and five assists so far this fall. She has received ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week recognition twice this season and is approaching the 100-point milestone for her career with 94 in 72 contests. A vice captain from Auckland, New Zealand, Tynan headlines a Duke front line that ranks second in the ACC with an average of 3.33 goals per outing.

Bitting, Tynan and the fourth-ranked Blue Devils close regular season ACC play Friday night in a 6 p.m. matchup with No. 11 Boston College at Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium. The contest, which also marks Senior Day for the program, will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
