Chip Tha Ripper To Take Part In Cleveland Fundraising Event

The rapper — also known as King Chip — will help raise money for The Hunger Network during a preview of Balance Pan-Asian Grille.

CLEVELAND — Cleveland rapper Chip Tha Ripper will take part in a special preview event at the soon-to-open Balance Pan-Asian Grille in downtown Cleveland. The restaurant will be part of the new The Beacon construction project on Euclid Avenue.

Chip, also known as King Chip, will be on-hand at the preview lunch on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., helping to raise money for The Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland. Guests can spend time with King Chip while checking out Balance's customizable menu.

“I chose to donate to The Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland because I really did my research and saw that they go the extra mile to reach out to our community,” King Chip said. “They take a lot of initiative and they are really making progress in our fight to nurture, nourish and replenish our people of Cleveland. The food that comes from Balance is what I stand behind, and they also take the time and effort to make everyone feel as good as their menu.”

Balance, which has other Ohio locations in Toledo, has engaged in several community fundraisers in the past, supporting causes like Athletes Vs. Crohn’s and Colitis, Random Acts of Kindness Everywhere, and Shoes and Clothes for Kids. To introduce both their restaurant and their desire to help the community, Balance is partnering with King Chip.

“Balance likes to collaborate with local artists and influencers in order to form a genuine connection with the community that we’re working in,” said Justin Paat, Balance’s Brand Director.
