"With the megaserver system, players won’t be separated into different copies of the same map based on the world they selected on character creation. Instead, you will simply arrive in a map and be assigned to the version of that map that makes the most sense for you as selected by the megaserver system we’ve developed. This new system takes your party, guild, language, home world, and other factors into account to match you to a version of the map you’re entering. This will increase the odds that you’ll see the same people more often and play with people of similar interests."

Starting in April, the account-wide system will facilitate the collection of every skin in the game, which aims to make customisation that much easier by sharing cosmetic items across all the characters on your account.Original story and details on other features follows. Original story: Guild Wars 2 is set to get a patch focused solely on adding and enhancing the MMO's features on April 15.
ArenaNet has announced that the update being referred to as the "April 2014 Feature Pack" will be the first patch not to add anything in terms of story, but instead bring a range of quality of life enhancements and set the stage for the future of the Living World. The full list of features will be unveiled gradually, but the first is an overhaul of the trait system. Set to add 40 new traits to the game, the April patch will also introduce a simplified UI and fresh horizontal progression opportunities for players.
The big news is the addition of new grandmaster traits, and the fact you'll need to unlock major traits via the new trait guide items. These will be found by completing specific content, like dungeons, bosses and personal story, though some can also be bought from profession trainers. Each class will also be getting a new grandmaster trait in a bid to offer more varied build possibilities.
Some of the additional changes coming include the fact you'll no longer need to visit a profession trainer to buy a training manual to hit the adept, master and grandmaster trait tiers; they'll now unlock for free. Additionally, trait tiers now unlock at different tiers, with adept, master and grandmaster automatically becoming available at levels 30, 60 and 80, respectively.
Trait points are also set to be condensed so each new point will be the equivalent of five of the old points. This means where you once had an unwieldy 70 points to spend, you'll now have 14. Points will be accrued from level 30 onwards at one every six levels, until you hit level 66 when you'll get two at a time. The hope is this makes spending traits easier for newcomers to understand. Finally, the team has also made refunding traits doable by the click of a button and it'll now be free. We'll be sure to keep you updated on the other new features as they're unveiled by ArenaNet.
