A few months ago, Thee Oh Sees released “A Weird Exits,” which was full of the face-melting psychedelic garage rock that we know from the mind of John Dwyer. Now Dwyer has revealed his softer, yet ever-more haunted, side with a collection of dark lullabies on a new album, “An Odd Entrances,” due Nov. 18 on Castle Face Records. First single “The Poem” is an orchestral number infused with cellos and the shuffling rhythm of a country killer. It’s nice for Halloween season and tickling that dark part of your psyche.

In a continued effort to expand humanitarian efforts, Thee Oh Sees will donate half of the profits from the first pressing of the new album to Elizabeth House, a Pasadena charity that helps homeless women with children.
