DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – A three vehicle collision on I 75 in northwest Georgia has claimed at least one life.

It happened around 1 PM at the Walnut Avenue exit on the interstate.

Troopers tell us that a landscaping truck lost control, spun around and collected two other vehicles, another commercial truck and a pickup.

All three vehicles ended up in the median strip, with the pickup on top.

It trapped five people inside the landscaping truck.

One of those victims has died and others are seriously injured.

Troopers tell us the drivers of the other vehicles are okay.

Since the wreckage ended up in the middle, both sides of I 75 were blocked.

Traffic is now moving again.

Troopers hope to clear the scene sometime after 3 PM.

***Helicopter video in the story was shot by Dan Guild from Florida, who was stuck in the traffic.
