"Braving the shave" for children with cancer
On Saturday September 21, 2019 the center of downtown Winston Salem will shut down to focus on a cause that impacts 300,000 children every year.
Childhood cancer impacts families in the Triad each in a unique way and they are counting on you to help make a difference.
Join WXII Talitha Vickers has she emcee's the 13th Annual St. Baldrick's Day outside of Finnigan's Wake on Trade Street.
The family event will shut down the street with activities for people of all ages as the community attempts to shatter a fundraising goal for children with cancer by shaving their heads.
The event starts at 12:30 p.m. and runs until 6pm.
Talitha Vickers spoke with a local mother Casey Crossan who knows the impact of childhood cancer first hand as she continues to honor her son Conner.
