Pippi Longstocking has fallen even further.

Tami Erin, the actress who played the fictional children’s character on the big screen back in the 1980s, has been arrested for hit-and-run drunk driving.

Erin was arrested after she hit three cars while driving in Los Angeles, reported TMZ.com.

Officers said that one person was taken to hospital following the incident.

Erin, 39, was given a sobriety test and arrested.

TMZ quoted one source as claiming Erin was “totally out of control … just out of it”.

Erin was in the news in October of this year when it emerged that she had sold a sex tape to a porn company after she was unable to stop a former boyfriend from releasing the homemade video.

She was also pictured partying at Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club kissing porn star Joslyn James.
