Fire At Stonington Inn Caused By Lit Cigarette: Report
Fire officials said three units at the inn were damaged as a result of the fire.
STONINGTON, CT — Fire officials said a fire early Sunday night at the Cove Ledge Inn and Marina was caused by a lit cigarette, the New London Day reported. Officials said a guest placed the cigarette in an ash tray on a bed in one of the units, which was subsequently blown onto the bed by an air conditioner.
