Music Box Films has released the first trailer and poster to the international hit "The Club."

The new film by Chilean director Pablo Larrain premiered at the Berlin Film festival where it won the Grand Jury Prize and scored rave reviews. The trailer showcases the dark mood of the film and also shows a number of visually breathtaking images that made his previous film "No" such a critical success.

"The Club" takes a scathing look at the abuses of the Catholic Church in an intense and raw fashion.

The film is suspected to be Chile's Oscar selection this year as it will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, and it has U.S. distribution. It is also one of the most acclaimed foreign films of the year, which is always a good sign for the Academy.

Larrain's last film "No" won the Director's Fortnight award before going on to get nominated for the Oscar in 2012. Larrain also directed the critically acclaimed feature "Post Mortem," which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival, Toronto and New York Film Festivals. He is currently shooting a film based on Neruda, which stars Gael Garcia Bernal, and is in talks for a Scarface remake. He will also shoot the upcoming Natalie Portman-led Jacqueline Kennedy biopic. That film was announced at the Cannes Film Festival this past May.

Music Box Films is responsible for releasing last year's "Ida," which won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. The company has also released Oscar submissions "Lore," "Beloved Sisters," "The Wall," "Gett: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem" and Foreign Language Oscar nominee "Monsieur Lazhar." It has also released the Oscar nominee "Il Divo" and the Golden Globe nominee "The Deep Blue Sea."

"The Club" was already released in Chile and is still awaiting a U.S. release date.
