Ghost Light Players Holds Theatre Workshop For Newbies And Vets

Ghost Light Players is holding an audition workshop to introduce new actors to prepping a monologue and also help veteran actors.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—Get yourself on stage, no matter what ability level you are.

Ghost Light Players is holding an audition workshop to introduce new actors to the preparation of a monologue, and help veteran performers further hone their skills. The workshop also covers audition etiquette, and allow time for students to ask their audition-related questions.

The workshop is led by Ghost Light Players board members Michelle Leibowitz, Krisha Maynard, and Alecia Thomas and takes place at the Marlborough Senior Senior from 1-4 p.m. on Aug. 4.

Leibowitz of Hopkinton is currently the interim artistic director of Ghost Light Players, and received her B.A. in Theatre from S.U.N.Y. Binghamton. she has been very active in the field of Performing Arts Education teaching Theater as well as directing and choreographing for several local middle and high schools. Michelle has also Directed, Choreographed and performed in many regional and area community theaters including Ghost Light Players.

Krisha Maynard of Worcester graduated from Clark University with a Bachelor’s in english and theater, with a concentration in Shakespearean Studies. Before joining Ghost Light Players, she was a founding member of the Flyleaf Theater Company in Berlin.

Alecia Thomas of Holliston earned her a BFA in Drama from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied musical theater and directing. After graduating, Alecia was a director and performer in New York City before moving back to Massachusetts to start her family.
