Ohio State facing the Big Ten's best running back: An appreciation for Penn State's Saquon Barkley

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Who was the best player Ohio State faced last year?

Was it Penn State running back Saquon Barkley? He certainly has an argument, and the Buckeyes are getting ready to see him again on Saturday night.

No. 2 Ohio State will play at Penn State this weekend in its second straight primetime game, and will face a back in Barkley who put 194 rushing yards on the Buckeyes last year.

Barkley is 31st in the country, and sixth in the Big Ten, in rushing, but we think he's the best back in the conference. You don't have the kind of game he had against Ohio State last year by accident.

We ranked Barkley No. 6 on our preseason list of the top 25 Big Ten football players.

Urban Meyer called Barkley a "first-rounder." We like him too. Watch the video above to hear Doug Lesmerises, Ari Wasserman and Bill Landis discuss a player who will be a tough matchup for the Buckeyes on Saturday night.
