SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WDAM) - The FBI arrested five south Mississippi men on federal drug trafficking charges on Monday and Tuesday.

Local, state and federal law enforcement aided the FBI's Pascagoula Safe Streets Task Force in making the arrests, according to an FBI news release.

Four people were arrested on Monday:

  • 49-year-old Mack Allen Bradley, of McLain
  • 41-year-old Joseph Land, of Perry County
  • 29-year-old Antonio Hugger, of McLain
  • 20-year-old Terry Mills Jr., of Leakesville

Another suspect, 22-year-old Markell Kelvin Brown, of McLain, was arrested in Hattiesburg on Tuesday.

All five suspects were charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance-methamphetamine, according to the FBI. They face maximum sentences of 10 years to life in federal prison and fines up to $10 million if convicted.

The suspects made their initial court appearances in United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi in Gulfport on Tuesday. The suspects were ordered to be held pending detention hearings set for August 20.

The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, the Greene County Sheriff's Office, the Perry County Sheriff's Office, the George County Sheriff's Office, Lucedale Police Department, the Southeast Mississippi Narcotics Task Force, the U.S. Marshals Service and Hattiesburg Police Department assisted with the arrests.
