Naperville, Aurora Carson's Stores To Close As Company Folds

Liquidation sales will start Friday and are expected to last up to 12 weeks.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Carson's is joining the growing list of retailers to fold in 2018. All Carson's stores in the U.S. are slated to close before the end of summer, including the Naperville and Fox Valley Mal locations. The announcement comes after the retailer's parent company, Bon-Ton, announced Wednesday that will be sold to liquidators.

The parent company, which filed bankruptcy in February, said it will begin store closing sales at its 250 retail and e-commerce locations. In a press release, officials said the liquidation sales will start April 20 and are expected to last up to 12 weeks.

In addition to Carson's, Bon-Ton Stores, Inc., which has headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and York Pennsylvania operates retail stores under the brands Bon-Ton, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers.
