KROTZ SPRINGS, La. (KLFY)- Two suspects have been arrested on animal cruelty charges in Krotz Springs after dogs were found starving in a cage.

On Thursday, officers arrested Amanda Rryder and Randy Arcement after a complaint concerning two dogs in a “small confined pen, covered in their own feces and extremely under weight.”

Neither dog had proper food, water or shelter, police said.

After further investigation, it was determined neither dog had veterinary care.

Both dogs were taken in by the St. Landry Parish Animal Control & Rescue from treatment.
