Courts Watch: St. Joseph man sentenced for first-degree drugs
Editor's note: This weekly report includes new information about Stearns, Benton and Sherburne county criminal cases covered in the St. Cloud Times.
Kelly John Meyer, 33, of St. Joseph was sentenced Monday afternoon to 13 years and two months in prison. Stearns County Judge William Cashman sentenced Meyer on one count of dangerous weapon possession with a prior violent crime conviction and one count of first-degree aggravated controlled substance crime. Meyer was given credit for a little over 100 days served. He will serve both counts concurrently.
Alexander Lee Gaebel, 27, of Waite Park was sentenced Oct. 11 to a stay of imposition for one count of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. Stearns County Judge Andrew Pearson also sentenced Gaebel to 189 days in jail with credit for 69 days served. He will be on supervised probation for seven years.

Matthew Ryan Langland, 32, of Sauk Rapids pleaded guilty Oct. 11 to felony-level threats of violence. Benton County Judge Michael Jesse presided. Langland is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 17.
Justin Mitchell Knoell, 20, of St. Cloud was sentenced to four years and eight months in prison for one count of first-degree controlled substance crime. Benton County Judge Michael Jesse presided. Knoell was given credit for nine days served.
Shawn Ronald Baker, 26, of St. Cloud was sentenced Oct. 11 to four years and one month in prison for one count of second-degree assault. Baker was given credit for 189 days served. Benton County Judge Michael Jesse presided.
McKenzie Michael Notch, 23, of St. Cloud was sentenced Oct. 11 to one year and nine months in prison for one count of domestic assault. A second count of domestic assault was dismissed. Benton County Judge Michael Jesse presided. Notch was given credit for 191 days served.
