My sister, I and our college friends were a great group. We would actually enjoy the way Deepak Malhotra would call Sridevi as, “Pallo.” 🙂
Movie: This song appeared in 1991 Yash-Raj Films’ romrama directed by Yash Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra and T Subbarami Reddy. The movie starred Sridevi, Anil Kapoor, Waheeda Rahman, Anupam Kher, Manohar Singh, Deepak Malhotra, etc.
Virendra Pratap Singh aka Viren (Anil Kapoor) arrives at Rajasthan with his governess Daijaan (Waheeda Rahman). Soon after, Viren meets Pallavi (Sridevi) and falls in love with her. However, he is not able to express his love. Even though he finds out that she is older than him, Viren continues to love her. Pallavi finds out that he is visiting Rajasthan for the first time and takes him on a tour of the surrounding areas.
Viren falls deeper in love with Pallavi. Soon, Pallavi’s father (Manohar Singh) expires because he loses a court case and with it all his property. He gives Pallavi’s responsibility to Viren, before dying. Pallavi cannot overcome the grief of losing her father and swoons in the arms of her boyfriend Siddharth (Deepak Malhotra). When Viren realizes that Pallavi is in love with someone else, he is shattered. He decides to get them married. The people, who won the case, are eager to get their hands on Pallavi’s property. But, Viren tries to keep her away from all the mess, by paying those people to keep mum.
The night, Pallavi gets married, Viren is seen sitting gloomily in the desert. He leaves the place before the farewell of the bride. Though Viren tries to keep Pallavi away from the people, in whose custody her property is now, they are back to drive her away from the place. Pallavi leaves disappointed that Viren had not told her anything about the result of the court case and what happened later. Viren returns to London, permanently. In the meantime, Pallavi and Siddharth romance away singing this song. They don’t know about the turmoil going on in Viren’s life.
Song: Anand Bakshi wrote this song’s lyrics and Shiv-Hari composed the music.
The gist of the song is, “I have forgotten everything in your love.”

The video opens with a plane taking off and the beginning of the music of this song. Deepak Malhotra and Sridevi hold hands and he kisses hers. She starts to sing the song and he joins her in it. He moves away and beckons to her. She runs into his arms.
Deepak Malhotra is seen bicycling on a mountain road, with Sridevi sitting pillion in front of him. It has just rained on the mountain. Then, they are seen on a motorbike. In the next shot, shows her sitting on a hammock and Deepak Malhotra approaches her. Now, both are in a boat.
In short, they are shown in different places. They are obviously in the honeymoon stage of their lives. They are bathing under a waterfall. The song peters out and the video ends as he lifts her and both fall down among the rocks.
Artists: The playback has been sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Suresh Wadkar and the onscreen performances are by Sridevi and Deepak Malhotra.
