Tallapoosa man facing stolen gun, drug charges

TALLAPOOSA, MO (KFVS) - A New Madrid County man is facing various stolen gun and illegal drug charges.

Marty Deprow of Tallapoosa, Mo. was arrested on charges of six counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, six counts of receiving stolen property, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.

According to the New Madrid County Sheriff's Office, on May 2  during a narcotics investigation, officers found several stolen guns, blasting caps and controlled substance after executing a search warrant at a home in Tallapoosa.

According to the sheriff's office, the guns were stolen in November 2001 from a home in Butler County.

On Friday, the investigation led officers to a home in Ripley County where officers conducted a second search and found a counterfeit money operation, according to the sheriff's office.

Four suspects were taken into custody.  Formal charges are pending, according to the sheriff's office.
