BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- Baltimore City Police are investigating the shooting death of a 25-year-old woman in South Baltimore.

On December 13, 2018, at about 1:23 p.m., police were dispatched to a parking-lot in the Unit block of Reedbird Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

When officers arrived, they discovered the woman, identified as Ebony Mercedes Moore, seated inside of a vehicle on a parking lot, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The lot belongs to an office building that houses the State Department of Human Resources, Baltimore City Department of Social Services and the Harbor View Family Investment Center.

A medic took Moore to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives are handling the investigation.
