Stolen Car Found In Solon: Police

SOLON, OH β€” Police found a stolen car parked at a hotel complex on Aurora Road on Sunday.

According to police, an officer was on patrol when he saw a car with a broken window parked behind Springhill Suites. He checked the registration on the vehicle and found it had been reported stolen.

While investigating the car, three men got out of the car. The officer began questioning them about the vehicle.

One of the men, a 17-year-old from Euclid, lied about who he was, police said. When his real identity was discovered, the teenager was taken into custody. Police said they then discovered he had a warrant in juvenile court for rape and gross sexual imposition.

The front seat passenger, a 19-year-old from Warrensville Heights, also had a warrant for his arrest. He was also taken into custody.

Officers found a bag with an old flint lock-style pistol beneath the car, police said. Investigators have not yet determined ownership of the car.
