Jerry G. Bartley, 78, of Indianapolis passed away March 28, 2018. He was born in Rockhouse, KY on January 22, 1940 to Brady and Edith (Coleman) Bartley. Jerry worked for AMTRAK for 40 years, retiring in 2000. In his younger years he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Dianne in their motor home. He was a gifted craftsman who enjoyed working and fixing things in his workshop. One of Jerry’s favorite hobbies was singing karaoke at the Moose and Eagle Lodges, where he was a member. Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dianne Bartley and brother, Jason Bartley. He is survived by his sons, Brian (Taletha) Bartley and Kelly Bartley; daughter, Jeri Ann (Kevin) Thompson; step daughters, Melanie Bruce and Kim (Scott) Brackett; brothers, Patton (Cindy, deceased) Bartley and Terry (Anna, deceased) Bartley; sister, Leah (Weldon) Roby; grandchildren, Ashley Thompson, Callie (Michael) Spillmann, Cory Bruce and Autumn Lawson and 3 great grandchildren, Drayce Thompson, Oliver Spillmann, and Kaden Bruce. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10:00 am, with visitation one hour prior, also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
