Telford crash causes rush hour delays for drivers

An accident in Telford caused rush hour delays for drivers.

Two cars were involved in the accident on the A442 Brockton Way near Tweedale.

The crash happened at about 8.15am today and emergency services were called to the scene, where the drivers escaped unharmed.

However, the accident caused some problems for other drivers, who reported delays of about 10 minutes trying to travel eastbound.

Fire crews from Telford Central attended the scene to make the vehicles safe and it was cleared within 30 minutes.

Elsewhere three people had to be treated for minor injuries following an accident last night.

The accident, involving one saloon car, happened on Churncote in Stirchley at 10.40pm.
