The Robert Morris and Kent State men’s basketball teams have decided to turn their closed scrimmage on Sunday into an exhibition game to help raise money for hurricane relief efforts.

The game will tip at noon at the M.A.C. Center at Kent, Ohio.

“Going back to our Ireland trip, which was a fantastic experience for our guys, and through the official start of practice, I think our guys have had a productive preseason,” RMU coach Andrew Toole said. “We’re looking forward to seeing how they respond Sunday against a quality opponent in a game that’s for a good cause.”

RMU returns four starters in 2018-19, including senior guard Matty McConnell, sophomore guard Jon Williams and sophomore forward Charles Bain and Koby Thomas.

The Colonials officially begin the season Nov. 6 in Los Angeles against USC.
