A motorcyclist died after a crash on Highway 72 in Monroe County on Sunday.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports Robert Morris, 54, of Jacksonville, Florida died in the wreck.
He and another biker were headed west when they tried to pass a van.
Morris braked and the other biker crashed into him and was hurt in the collision, THP said.
Troopers say the biker who died was wearing a helmet but it wasn't one that was considered an approved helmet by the Department of Transportation.
