Rhode Island yogis might notice a familiar face on the cover of the latest issue of Yoga Journal.

East Greenwich's Coral Brown, who teaches at All That Matters in Wakefield and Laughing Elephant Yoga in East Greenwich, is the cover model for the magazine's October issue, on newsstands now.

"It's a little surreal," Brown said. "It's humbling and it's an honor. It's a side effect of all that I've worked for spreading the word of yoga."

Brown, who has been teaching vinyasa flow-style yoga for the last 15 years, developed a practice based around the yamas and niyamas, the ethical guidelines of yoga, for an eight-page article inside of the magazine.

This is her second time on Yoga Journal's cover; she also posed for its May 2011 issue.

She describes her teaching style as mind-body oriented, and influenced by her holistic psychotherapy practice, Turnagain Wellness. "It's all about living your yoga," said Brown, a licensed mental health counselor.
