Boschee, Stanley M. The memorial service for Stanley M. Boschee, Zeeland, ND will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Faith Community Church in Wishek, ND at 11:00 AM. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Waconia, MN at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Waconia, MN and the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND. Stanley M. Boschee was born on December 31, 1930 to Edwin and Linda (Ochsner) Boschee in Eureka, SD. Stanley grew up on a farm near Zeeland, ND attended school and graduated in 1950. After high school, he worked a variety of jobs including construction and farming. In 1954 he enlisted in the US Army and served his time in Germany. While in Germany, he found that his ability to speak German fluently caused the locals to think he was from Germany. After serving his time with the US Army, Stanley returned to North Dakota. At that time, he worked in the Nekoma Missile Sites in North Dakota. He eventually moved to the Minneapolis, MN area where he became a plumber and those skills enabled him to have a lifelong career working until his last days. Stanley married Ramona (Hron) Holtz in 1974. They moved to Zeeland, ND where he owned and operated Stan's Plumbing and Excavating as well as operating the family farm. Stanley was well known for being friendly and sharing a joke with all those around him. He was adored by his grandchildren and in his younger years, his nieces and nephews. He was always known as "the fun guy." On September 23, 2018 Stanley had plans to complete a plumbing job, but instead, he passed away peacefully in his recliner just as he always wanted. He will be greatly missed by all those who have shared his life. Stanley died Sunday, September 23, 2018 at his home in Zeeland, ND. He was 87 years old. Stanley is survived by his sister, Deanna Gazette of New York; step- sons Nick Holtz, Elk River, MN; Ross (Lynette) Beard, Ramsey, MN; Robert (Jane) Holtz, Fargo, ND; step-daughters, Julie (Michael) McPherson, Orlando, FL, Amy (Todd) Nelson, Mayville, ND. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren in addition to many nieces and nephews. Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona; parents, Edwin and Linda brother, Charles; sisters, Blanche and Virginia.
