Chelsea Clinton has now officially made her parents, former President Bill Clinton and Hillary, the proud grandparents of her first child. On Saturday morning, Chelsea Clinton, 34, announced on social media sites Twitter and Facebook that she had given birth to her first child, a daughter named Charlotte. Her parents and others have retweeted her remarks. Chelsea’s husband is investment banker Marc Mezvinsky.

On her Facebook page, Chelsea wrote the news of Charlotte’s birth. Her daughter’s  full name is “Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky.”

Chelsea Clinton is the former first daughter of her father, President Bill Clinton, and mother, Hillary Clinton. Hillary was the First Lady and then was elected as a Democratic senator of New York. She is now considering running for the office of the presidency of the United States in 2016 and is widely believed to be a frontrunner if she decides to put her hat in the ring.

Chelsea Clinton has given many impassioned political speeches and has supported both of her parents in their political pursuits. She has also been a special correspondent for NBC since 2011 before leaving that job in August to concentrate on her pregnancy and the upcoming birth of her baby daughter. Some people have criticized her and NBC after learning that she was given a salary of $600,000 saying that the amount she was being paid was too high.

Chelsea Clinton received her education from Columbia, Stanford and Oxford Universities. She and her parents operate the Clinton Foundation. Her father, President Bill Clinton, was the 42nd president of the United States. He served two terms as the president from January 1993 to January 2001.

Chelsea Clinton announced that she was pregnant in April. The Washington Post, according to USA Today, used a baby name generator to let readers of the newspaper guess what the name of Chelsea’s baby would be. The name that the majority of the readers chose, Charlotte, ultimately was the same name that Chelsea and Marc agreed upon on their own. Chelsea’s Facebook announcement about the birth of her daughter already has had over 21,000 Likes.

Chelsea Clinton was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on February, 27, 1980. According to a report by CBS News, she first moved into the White House with her parents in 1993, when she was 12 years old.

She met her husband Marc Mezvinsky while growing up in Washington. His parents both served as members of Congress. Chelsea Clinton and her future husband, Marc, were both enrolled at Stanford and their romance blossomed. Chelsea and Marc became engaged to each other on November 30, 2009 and they became married the following year, in July 2010.

Her parents, Bill and Hillary Clinton, have now become proud grandparents of a baby granddaughter. In a recent TV interview, Bill Clinton stated that he did not care what his granddaughter might choose to call him, whether it was “grandfather,” “granddad” or whatever other choice she might decide upon eventually.

Early on Saturday morning, September 27, Chelsea Clinton and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, took to social media to let the world know about the birth of their first child, a daughter named Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky. Perhaps one day, Charlotte will take up the mantle of other members of her family and enter politics herself. Chelsea, her husband, Marc, and her parents former President Bill Clinton and Hillary, are all proud and happy about the new addition to the family tree.

  1. I feel sorry for little Charlotte. he Clinton’s add up to a hore monger and a deceiving liar, and Grampa Medvinsky is a convicted felon. I would hide little Charlotte from both sides of the family.
