Five years after Stephen's passing, his brother Tony says their family still has unanswered questions and is going to hire a private investigator for a new probe into his death.

AceShowbiz - Family of Stephen Gately, a member of Boyzone who passed away in 2009, is planning to hire a private investigator to re-examine the singer's death, The Sun reports. Stephen's brother, Tony, says their family still has unanswered questions after his brother was found dead in his apartment in Majorca five years ago.

Tony claims although officials found Stephen died of natural causes relating to an undetected heart condition, nobody has explained to him about what actually happened on the night. He tells the site, "Only two people know what went on the night he died. They are his husband Andrew and a Bulgarian guy, Georgi, who was invited to their apartment. Neither of them have fully explained to me what happened."

He adds, "We are looking at getting a private investigator once his estate is settled," referring to their dispute with Stephen's husband Andrew Cowles over the late singer's £1.5 million estate.

Tony says of the dispute with Andrew, "Andy has put a price on every single item that we've asked for. Those things are tarnished now. Some of them were things we had given to Stephen as presents. They were sentimental items."

He continues, "[Andrew]'s had all Stephen's earnings and personal possessions. Our family have had none of that. At the minute it looks like Andy is going to get 60 per cent of Stephen's estate. Our mum and dad will get a fraction, but the estate still hasn't been settled."
