Bergen Man Charged With Abusing Girl, 6
Roberto Morquecho, 32, was arrested after authorities investigated when the girl showed up at school with injuries on her arm and leg.
BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — A Palisades Park man was charged with child abuse after authorities investigated a 6-year-old girl who had injuries on her arm and leg.
Roberto Morquecho, 32, was arrested after members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victim's Unit and the Palisades Park Police Department investigated a 6-year-old girl who attended school with injuries to her arm and leg, said Gurbir S. Grewal, Bergen County prosecutor.
The state Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted the prosecutor's office advising them of the injuries, Grewal said.

As a result of the investigation, Morquecho was charged with fourth-degree child abuse, the prosecutor said. Morquecho was released on a summons and is scheduled to appear in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court March 6 at 8:30 a.m.
