MaineStream Finance to Offer Business Courses Starting 10/23

Are you thinking of starting or expanding a business? MaineStream Finance offers IWW Express: Build A Better Business. The Incubator Without Walls Express Program helps individuals start and expand businesses with five or fewer employees.

The course stresses that good management, effective marketing and financial controls lead to increased profits, and that business planning leads to business growth, profits and personal satisfaction in just seven classes.

The following topics will be discussed: Credit; Business Plan; Business Concept; Legal Structures of Business; Marketing; Record Keeping; Financials & Cash Flow; Loans & Grants; Resources & More.

The classes are frequently augmented with guest speakers from the local business community which allows participants to network with local bankers, accountants, insurance agents, web & media designers, and an array of other experts. In addition, participants can receive one on one business counseling.

This course is offered live in Bangor, Dover-Foxcroft, East Millinocket, Ellsworth and Lincoln. It's FREE.

Power Up Grant for small business:

MaineStream Finance's Mainly Micro provides affordable and accessible financing for entrepreneurs (with 10 or fewer employees) seeking to purchase technology-related equipment and software. The Mainly Micro program will provide access to capital for the purchase of business technology such as a laptop or tablet, printer, modems, routers, software, and internet service. Participants will receive ten hours of technical assistance training in business planning and technology topics. Grants are available to income eligible business owners in amounts up to $500.

MaineStream Finance offers courses for entrepreneurs in computer literacy, including accounting software, social media strategy, e-commerce, Microsoft Office and more.

Our loan and grant types include:

· $500 Power Up Micro Grants

· Loans up to $50,000 will be available for the purchase of computers, office equipment, software and other business assets.
