DALLAS, TX — An 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy have been arrested in connection to a shooting that left Davieuntay Green, 18, dead in South Dallas on June 9.

Police said Tuesday that Cedric Spikes, 18, was arrested on June 11 after an investigation between Dallas Police and the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force. His alleged accomplice turned himself into police on June 17.

Green was found injured from a gunshot wound in the 3700 block of Humphrey Drive around 4:05 p.m. on June 9. Police said he was treated on scene for his injuries by Dallas Fire Rescue. No witnesses were found at the scene. Green was taken to Baylor Hospital, where he died from the gunshot to his back.

Officers went to Baylor Hospital, where they talked with Green's mother, a probable cause affidavit states. She told detectives two people who both she and her son knew came to her door to tell her he had been shot.

Detectives found those witnesses, who told police they were walking alongside Green when a white Nissan Altima containing five people pulled up next to them.

After the driver asked Green who he was, a passenger in the rear right seat of the car fired several rounds from a semi-automatic pistol, the affidavit states.

The two witnesses and Green ran, but Green was struck in the back by a single round.

One witness told police the driver, whom he recognized as "FNG Demon," told the alleged gunman, "shoot him."

An officer from the Dallas Police Department's gang unit unit knew of "FNG Demon," and identified him as Spikes, the document reads.

Both witnesses fingered Spikes in a photo lineup, police said.

Spikes was arrested on June 11, and the 15-year-old suspect turned himself into police on June 17, officials said.

They have both been charged with murder.
