Bring on the PodCats with Brett Hudson of the Commercial Dispatch

If you weren’t already worried about Mississippi State, you will be after hearing Brett describe the dangerous offense and uber-talented defense set to face K-State Saturday.

Mississippi State offers Kansas State a rare glimpse of a high-quality SEC team in Manhattan, and about the best thing we can say about this game is our guest, Bulldogs beat writer Brett Hudson of the Commercial-Dispatch in Columbus, says MSU might be a little overconfident. After all, they crushed Stephen F. Austin 63-6 while Kansas State struggled mightily to knock off South Dakota in Week 1.

In this podcast recorded on Monday, Brett also tells us why coach Joe Moorhead’s offense led by senior preseason third team All-SEC quarterback Nick Fitzgerald should be tough to stop, and why this isn’t your typical Mississippi State defense. The line in particular is one of the best in the country. We also enjoyed poking some fun at Texas and Kansas, as well as hearing about Brett’s very strong feelings regarding the SNL “More Cowbell” sketch played at every game in Starkville. He is not a fan.
