Jason Line of Wright was fifth in the Pro Stock race Sunday at the National Hot Rod Association Toyota Nationals in Las Vegas.
Line's Northland counterpart, Duluth's Greg Anderson, didn't fare quite as well, finishing ninth and failing to advance to the quarterfinals in the fifth of six playoff events. Erica Enders eliminated Anderson and went on to a runner-up showing, falling to Bo Butner in the finals.
With the final race weekend of the season approaching - Nov. 8-11 in Pomona, Calif. - Line resides in sixth place in the Pro Stock points standings, while Anderson is a spot back in seventh.
